Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), has just published (October 2, 1991 - Vol. 266, No. 13) a lengthy rebuttal article to an earlier one on the TM movement and Maharishi Ayur-Veda.
A multitude of letters (according to one spokesman for the AMA, the largest response to a single article they have ever received) deluged The Journal. Because the authors failed to report in the financial disclosure form required by JAMA that they were affiliated with "organizations that promote and sell products and services about which they wrote, "the rebuttal letter writers have all had to submit such disclosures. AFF president Herbert Rosedale, Patrick Ryan, Dr. Ralph Smith, Marcia Rudin, Kevin Garvey, and Dr. Hohn Hochman were among the many respondents published.
